free parent guides titled: Put Reading First: Helping Your
Child Learn to Read (in English & Spanish), Big Dreams:
A Family Book About Reading as well as others. Their

www.nifl.gov (they can be downloaded from there) and the
phone number is 1-800-228-8813.
There are
also several brochures that are free to parents on several
topics like reading aloud to your child, discipline,
test-taking, ...available from PSEA (Pa State Education
Association)
The Florida
Center for Reading Research (www.fcrr.org)
has numerous free literacy documents that can be downloaded as
well.
